Monthly Feature April - May 2006: Help Close the Mentoring Gap
Corporation for National and Community Service programs mentored about 400,000 children and youth last year. But many more children could benefit from this invaluable service. To respond to this need, the Corporation is leading a new Federal Mentoring Council, and is collaborating with MENTOR, and leaders from government, nonprofit, and corporate America to ensure that a caring adult mentor is matched to every child who needs one.
