Presents the results from three summits with the purpose of identifying factors that guide academic officers' work in their evaluation or support of service learning. Several themes were discovered that can lead to long-term sustainability of service-learning in community colleges. Topics include the need to support faculty with the tools they need to teach well and the importance of networking with other colleges.
